The Move

A Few Things

Almost everything on this site is free, and that is the point. This page is the small exception: a few things we have built or worked on that are projects, not plays you can copy.

For restaurants

Our YouTube channel, Peter & Lisa Kim, is where we film the San Gabriel Valley’s food scene. More than 11,000 people follow along and around 70,000 watch in a month, mostly to find out whether a spot is worth the drive or still open.

Eat in SGV is our running guide to about 330 SGV restaurants, with reader tips, votes, and best-of lists that stay independent. The newsletter mostly runs itself: twice a month the site gathers what is new, what readers flagged, and how the votes moved, and we write the features on top.

Chili Oil Gang is our own review site and Instagram. Still small, but it turns up in search now, around 100 clicks and 13,000 impressions a month.

Most of the spots we care about run on almost no budget, so we have not turned any of this into a service. If you have the means and it feels like the right fit, get in touch and we will help or talk something through. We take on very little, almost always through a referral, because we want every project to be one we are genuinely the right people for.

Everything else

Chu’s Packaging Supplies and Eagle Converting are two B2B packaging companies we run marketing for: search, content, video scripts, and help pages. The video work is public on their YouTube channels.

We also led marketing for Hegen, a US baby-bottle brand.

Things we build for ourselves: Clippers History, a project for the next generation of Clippers fans and a place to bring them together, especially with how much the organization gets wrong, and Buiyah, a site for our pickup basketball team.

None of this is the main thing. The plays are. But people ask, so here it is.
